Janet Ehrlich Colson

Janet Ehrlich Colson, also known as James, is an actor, playwright, and teaching artist living in Detroit and is thrilled to be emerging from the pandemic as a performer in Matrix Theater Company’s Playback troupe. Janet’s full-length play, EA, Eater’s Anonymous was presented virtually by Lansing’s Riverwalk Theatre and her monologue, Bradley, was performed in Turn, Turn, Turn with Ixion Theatre’s The Wheel Writers Group. Their play, Free Cat Thursday, was selected as one of the winners of the Ludington Area Center for the Arts’ 10-minute play festival. Janet received an MFA in creative writing from Goddard College and a BFA in drama from NYU. Janet teaches yoga at the Detroit Metro YMCA. Their blog exists at janetehrlichcolson.wordpress.com.
