Women You Oughta Know

Women You Oughta Know is a vibrant weekend of performances celebrating the voices, stories, and creative power of Detroit women. Presented by Matrix Theatre Company, this special event features performances by local women artists, including Kamryn Marck, Lindsay McCaw, and Kristi Ternes, alongside additional community performers and guest headliners who open select evenings with excerpts of their work. Throughout the weekend, audiences will also hear from Detroit women entrepreneurs and community leaders, with opportunities to meet local women-owned businesses showcased in the lobby and through short speaking moments before and after performances. More than a show, Women You Oughta Know is a community-centered celebration—a sacred space that uplifts women’s stories, artistry, and livelihoods while honoring the many ways women shape Detroit every day.
