Monica Kozakiewicz

Monica Kozakiewicz is thrilled to join Matrix Playback Troupe and to finally be performing with Matrix Theatre!  She has worked at their box office and as a teaching artist in the past, but is excited for the chance to be “on the blocks” with this incredible group of people and organization.  With an MFA in Applied Drama/Theatre for the Young from EMU, Monica has more recently spent her time as a theatre maker developing and performing in shows for the very young with Spinning Dot Theatre such as Amaruq’s Journey and Dig.  She spends her days pursuing her other passion of educating and caring for young children, currently co-owning and teaching at Planting the Seed Montessori in Detroit. Her heart fills with gratitude and hope thinking of the opportunity this troupe will give to our communities as we listen, witness, and honor each other through the stories our lives hold, and most of all . . . connect.
