Matrix Theatre Company and Clark Park Coalition are looking for several energetic volunteers to help out during the 2022 GM vs. Ford Women’s Automotive Cup Outdoor Charity Hockey Game. We expect the game to last from 6:30 to 8:30; each of these positions are split so that volunteers can enjoy watching at least half of the game.
To sign up for a volunteer position, please fill out the form below. Be sure to specify your preferred position and time block. If you're shy, grab a buddy and volunteer together! Just add your friend's information in the message block of the form so we'll know to group you together.
Entry Gate Positions
Description: These volunteers will be posted at the table by entry gate. This is the only entrance/exit for the game. Volunteers will explain the simple donation guidelines to attendees when they enter, check IDs for those of legal drinking age, hand out VIP packets, and attach wristbands. These volunteers will also be responsible for helping to ensure that no alcohol leaves the premises.
These volunteers may sit or stand for the duration of their time.

The 5:30pm group will help with set-up, the 7:30 group will help with organizing announcing winners/clean-up. Overall, these positions will help bidders figure out how to bid on items, explain the donation guidelines, and answer any questions bidders may have.
Some standing may be required for these volunteers.

Food Service Positions
Description: Food Service volunteers will grill, plate, and serve concessions items. Latex-free gloves will be provided. Concessions items will include ground beef and cheese. Being comfortable with urging attendees to donate “just a bit” more for what they’ve ordered is a strong plus for these jobs, as is familiarity with being around a grill. Bonus: being close to the grill will help keep you warm!
Standing will be required for these volunteers.

These volunteers will be encouraged to stand and move around throughout the rink area, but it is not required.
Four people, 5:30-8:00pm
Photographers
Description: Well, we think it's fairly self-explanatory, but we're looking for a couple of photographers to take game photos, posed photos, and candids of the crowd.
These volunteers will be encouraged to stand and move throughout the rink area, but it is not required.
Multiple people, 6:00-9:30pm
Locker Room Security
Description: Help us keep player belongings safe! Locker room security volunteers will have perhaps the easiest – yet most important – job. This position entails chilling in the locker room, keeping an eye on things, and the incredibly important task of pointing attendees to the restrooms. This is a good one for those that prefer warmer environments over that of “fresh air.” Those without a sense of smell and/or those who have built up an immunity to locker room scents are STRONGLY urged to volunteer for these positions.
These volunteers can sit or stand during their time.

General Volunteer Positions
We get it: things happen. We like to be prepared for the unknown. Having a couple of unassigned volunteers that can help out where needed is always a good plan. If you’re the type of person that likes to let the fates choose your path, this is the position for you.
It's safe to assume that these volunteers will be doing a large amount of walking and moving around, and may be asked to lift heavy objects such as a case of water or large container of hot chocolate.

Hospitality for Volunteers
These volunteers will be short-term relief for volunteers on duty; those that need to use the restroom, chuck that puck, or get that last-minute bid in on that special silent auction item. Therefore, these volunteers will do quite a bit of moving around and definitely won't get bored.
